SeatGeek will be in Boston for this year's Sloan Sports Analytics Conference (SSAC), an event that brings hundreds of great, interesting people to Boston to discuss sports, analytics and the intersection of the two. In true startup tradition, we felt like there was a void for a great event to help conference participants meet one another outside of the formal confines of the conference, so SeatGeek is proud to be hosting a Sports.Media.Technology meetup on Thursday, March 1 – the evening prior to the start of the SSAC.

We wanted to have a casual event where anyone interested in sports, media, technology or any combination of the three could get together to meet or hang out, so come and hang out with us if you’ll be in Boston Thursday night!

Also, thanks to Crown Publishing, the first 30 attendees to arrive at the meetup will recieve a complementary copy of Scorecasting, a new book by financial economist Tobias Moskowitz and Sports Illustrated writer L. Jon Wertheim that looks into some of the hidden statistical drivers that shape how basketball, baseball, football and hockey games are played, won and lost.
