Presenting Companies:
360 Chestnut is building an online community dedicated to helping members make radical improvements in the energy efficiency of their homes. This
free-to-the-consumer service provides expert information about wise home improvements, personalized access to the more than 5000 rebates and incentives that pay homeowners to be more energy efficient, as well as a connection to those who can do the work. 360Chestnut is already generating revenue from its creation of a network of qualified service delivery partners who pay a subscriber fee. 360Chestnut is also pursuing additional revenue opportunities based on the large amount of data we are collecting about individual home owners and the 20 million household, $300 billion annual home improvement market.
Presenter: Harold Simansky, Founder, 360Chestnut
BE (whatisBE.com) is a for profit social venture that helps college & high school students learn and earn money via a quiz application. Students earn one point for each correct answer. Points can be redeemed for college tuition money or school related prizes, similar to a cobranded rewards credit card. BE operates on an adbased freemium and eshop model. BE has developed a prototype and is currently in the process of signing up four colleges, 2 high schools & one B2B college tech provider company.
Presenter: Elise Moussa, Founder and CEO, BE
PieceWise is autocomplete for your projects. We’re solving the problem of not having enough time for all the projects we want to get done. Someday we hope to completely automate project management but at this point, we’ve built a platform for crowdsourcing project plans. These project plans are like open-source code. Anyone can reuse pieces of old projects to build new projects and small projects can be reused to build big projects (think making cookies as part of catering as part of a wedding). Over time, an easily customizable project template develops for common projects.
