Since Greenhorn Connect is your guide for entrepreneur events and resources in Boston, we wanted to highlight what we believe are the Top 10 Can’t Miss Events in June amongst the over 160 events this month, which is part of Innovation Month (#NEInno).

The Top 10 Can't Miss Events in June

#10 : Angel Boot Camp

  • Description:   Have you thought about angel investing but weren't sure whether it was right for you or how to get started? Are you an entrepreneur who wants to learn more about working with angels and how angel investment differs from venture capital?
  • Here's a chance to learn from the experts. We'll have more than twenty of the best angels and seed-stage investors on hand -- some local, some from around the country -- to share their experiences
  • When:  Tuesday, June 1 from 11:30 am - 8:00 pm

#9: **Mass Innovation Nights

  • Description: Held once a month:
  •         Registration and networking at 6:00 p.m.
  •         Presentations start showing at 7:00 p.m.
  •         Experts Corner team has one-on-one conversations w start-ups/ entrepreneurs
  •         After-party at a nearby bar at 8:30 p.m.
  • Location:  Waltham IBM Innovation Center, 404 Wyman Street, Waltham, MA
  • When: Thursday June 3rd from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm


#8: Startup Weekend

  • Description: Startup Weekend recruits a highly motivated group of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and more to a 54 hour event that builds communities, companies and projects.
  • Location:   Microsoft NERD 
  • When: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm Friday June 4th, then runs all weekend!
  • Cost: $75 for entrepreneurs, $40 for students

#7: **Mobile Mondays:Evening of Mobile Startups at the MIT Museum

  • Description: Mobile Monday is taking over the MIT Museum for a night of mobile exhibitions, food, and drink. We'll have two cash bars and dozens of mobile demo booths within the museum exhibit halls.
  • Come see the newest Boston mobile companies and meet new people in Boston's fast-growing mobile community. 
  • Location:   MIT Museum - 265 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE - Cambridge 02139
  • When: Monday, June 7th from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm


#6: **Web Innovators Group 26 (WebInno26)

  • Description: WebInno is an informal gathering of people interested in internet and mobile innovation - free and open to all in the community.
  •         At 6:30pm, doors officially open
  •         At 7pm in the Grand Ballroom we’ll hold our usual format of self-/angel-funded startups demo’ing to the audience
  •         At 8pm, Side dishes have tables available to see more demos
  • Location:   Royal Sonesta Cambridge - 40 Edwin H Land Blvd - Cambridge, MA 02142
  • When: Monday, June 14th from 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm


#5: Eurekafest: Celebrating Innovation

  • Description: EurekaFest is a multi-day celebration designed to empower a legacy of inventors through activities that inspire youth, honor role models, and encourage creativity and problem solving.  
  • Location:   Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Museum of Science
  • When: Kickoff Wed, June 16th at 5:00pm. Runs Thursday afternoon through Saturday


#4: **Founder Dialogues - Feat. Mick Mountz of Kiva Systems

  • Description: Public event series featuring successful founders. Have you ever wondered about the founders behind successful companies? How did they dream up their businesses? How did they get enough conviction to bet on success? What path led them to where they are now? What challenges did they face? What advice would they give to future entrepreneurs?
  • This month: Mick Mountz Founder/CEO Kiva Systems

#3: Momentum Summit

  • Description: How do small start-ups with a brilliant idea turn into big businesses? The Momentum Summit will explore that question with a series of in-depth conversations and "chalk talks" from notable local founders and CEOs including:
  •         Paul Sagan (Akamai), Gail Goodman (Constant Contact), Steven Kaufer (TripAdvisor),  Scott Griffith (ZipCar), & more.

#2: **Venture Cafe alpha in session w/ NEVCA Office Hours

  • Description:  Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, developers, and other members of the Boston startup community drop in to chat about what they’re working on. 
  • VCs from NEVCA come by each week to meet and mingle. Sign up for hours here. 
  • Location:  Cambridge Innovation Center, One Broadway, 11th floor
  • When: Every Thursday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm


#1: **Tech Tuesday

  • Description: If you're looking for talent, clients or to just spread the word about what you are doing, join us for this Tech Tuesday. You'll have an opportunity for a fast-pitch shout-out to the audience of fellow geeks, tech savvy professionals, DIY-ers, and other industry luminaries at this high energy informal gathering.
