Boston Festival of Indie Games

Festival to take place in Kendall Square on the MIT campus (Building 56, 21 Ames Street, Cambridge).

Boston Indies, a community of dedicated independent game developers in Massachusetts, and MIT Game Lab presents the Boston Festival of Indie Games, a celebration of independent games made in the New England area. Boston Festival of Indie Games is focused on creating an intersection between community, academic and independent interests in game play.

Festival attendees will play video games, live action games, tabletop games and interactive fiction produced locally in the Boston area. The festival will also feature a 12-hour game jam, digital art exhibit, film screenings and special guest speakers from the national “indie” games space. A special showcase will highlight games developed by the MIT Game Lab in Cambridge, which has created nearly fifty games of the last five years and have gone on to critical acclaim and commercial success.
