Science from Scientists—formerly known as The WhizKids Foundation—is a Boston-based non-profit that strives to improve science and technology awareness in local middle school and late elementary students; our materials target 5^th–8^th grade students.

Science from Scientists typically works with more than a dozen schools, or 1500 students, every year to train kids with our STEM curriculum.

Thanks to generous grants and donations our organization receives from our partners, we are able to offer free hands-on curriculum assistance to many schools, clubs and other organizations, primarily in Greater Boston. Science from Scientists also offers some for-fee services, which are described more fully alongside our no-cost offerings under programs.

Module-based Instruction

Offered as either year-long in-class instruction or as an after school science club, this is our primary program and is enjoyed by thousands of students in Greater Boston.

Science from Scientists designs and teaches STEM lessons to students in the later years of primary education i.e; grades 5–8, and occasionally the 4^th grade. Our materials are aligned with Massachusetts Department of Education curriculum frameworks. They incorporate lecture segments and hands-on laboratories, as well as additional material beyond the scope of state requirements. Exploratory trips can also be arranged to a variety of locations including the Museum of Science, New England Aquarium and MIT Museum.

Science Fair

Science from Scientists instructors are available to assist teachers and instruct students in grades 4-12 through the science fair process from start to finish. Students learn about the scientific method, experimental design, data analysis, and creating an attractive, informative and succinct display. We are able to offer schools aid throughout the entire science fair process by: administering a science fair, offering additional guidance as tutors, or serving as judges.

CSI Experience

Science from Scientists creates a comprehensive forensic science mystery for students to explore and solve. Students are guided through a fun and informative experience with hands-on activities grounded in a customized storyline. Contact us for additional information and pricing details.
