Introduce yourself...where do you go to school and what’s your major?

I just began my second year at Northeastern University studying Computer Science and Business.

How did you find out about the startup ecosystem in Boston?

The Northeastern Entrepreneurs Club quickly pulled me into Boston’s startup scene. The club brings in different startup executives each week to talk about their successes, failures, and insights. Talk about motivating!

What has your startup experience been like thus far in life?

Both of my parents are entrepreneurs, so they encouraged me to go to the first Northeastern Entrepreneurs Club meeting my freshman year. Since then, I have become heavily involved in the club by participating in a number of its programs including Code Red and the Husky Startup Challenge, as well as directing and restructuring the Entrepreneurship Immersion Program.

Aside from the Entrepreneurs Club, I got a taste of working at a startup last year when I joined the product team for ChatterMob, an online market research platform. There, I learned a lot about managing developers, designing a software product, and initiating sales cycles.

Why are you interested in joining a startup after college as opposed to a more established company?

There are a number of aspects I love about startups: multifaceted employee responsibilities, informal company culture, dedicated and determined mentalities amongst team members, and constant re-envisioning and restructuring of goals.

What do you hope to accomplish in your role with Greenhorn Connect?

I can not wait to help grow the Boston startup community while expanding my network and hearing more about Boston’s cutting edge ideas and happenings through Greenhorn Connect.
